林间地
A Glade
Lies in Mind
As a place that combines the city with nature,
the park is a relatively stable natural space that is distinct from both the fast-paced city and the wilderness, providing a physical and mental shelter that give the modern imagination of "Human Beings Are Poetic Dwellers On Earth".
In order to sublimate the park as a comfort to the modern minds,
I search for natural materials, such as branches, leaves, stones and water, to build geometric structures, reducing the forms of modern life to the most basic triangles, squares and circles, trying to establish peace and stability in nature, interacting with nature with my body and discovering nature's response. At the same time,
I control the gaps in structures, constructing imaginary spaces, which are visually blank within complexity, fixing and strengthening them with images, to wait for the spirit to take a rest in them.
I hope I can create a spiritual park, a place of meditation for people who are weary of modern life, as a way to relieve the stress of running it.
